1. Can I attend traffic school where I live, or do I have to go where I got the ticket/citation?
That's what is so great about internet traffic school. You do not have to physically sit in a classroom for hours and hours. Regardless of where you received your citation, you can attend in the comfort and privacy of your own home. You can also go at a pace that is most convenient for you.
When you begin to register, please enter the location of the court that has requested your proof of traffic school completion. This will ensure that you will receive the correct information about the course, and that you will get credit for this course to satisfy your driver improvement obligation. The location that needs your certificate of completions may be completely different than where you live.
2. Can I take the course if I am a juvenile?
Each court individually decides if juveniles will be permitted to take the course. If the court has not given you specific permission to take an internet course, you may want to ask your court before beginning the course.
3. Can I take this internet traffic school course from different computers?
Yes! You can access your course from any computer that can access the Internet, its that convenient. The program will save all of your information and you can log on and off at your convenience.
4. Do I have to complete the course all at once?
No, you will be able to log in and out of the course 24 hours a day from any Internet accessible computer. To log in, you just need to go to the AffordabeHomeStudy.com home page from any computer with Internet access, click on Resume, and enter your Case/Docket and Drivers License numbers. By logging in and out, the course can be done at your convenience and all your progress will be saved.
Your login will be valid for as long as it takes you to complete the course, even if it takes several months. However, make sure you pay close attention to the due date given to you by your court by which you are to have completed a traffic school course and turned in a certificate of completion, so that you will be given credit by the court.
5. Do I have to pay online to get started?
You do not have to pay online and you do not have to pay upfront when you register. You may take up to 3 chapters of the course without paying. The payment options available are as follows:
You may choose one of these options at the time that you log on or by clicking on the Payment icon once you are in the course.

**For the following California counties: Butte, Mariposa, Napa, Riverside, Santa Cruz, Stanislaus, Lassen, Tuolmne. You will be taking the course for a court that involves a third party final exam. If you have questions about your certificate after you register please contact Net Integrated Systems at 888-647-3926 for information on certificate status.
12. How do I know if my court recognizes internet traffic school?
One of the first things the system will tell you when you begin to register is whether we are approved or not by your court. If we are listed on the paperwork you received from your court, we are definitely approved by your court.
Because internet traffic school is such a new experience some traffic courts have not yet authorized the online equivalent to the standard classroom course. However, many do have approved courses, so the chances that your court will accept on-line courses are very good. If your traffic court currently authorizes home study-Internet courses for traffic school attendance, there is a good chance they will authorize online attendance. Ask them. If you would like help with getting your court's contact information, please e-mail us.
13. How much does the course cost?
The price to enroll in the program is $13.95, which includes course
access, the completion certificate, and standard delivery of the
certificate. We have a low price guarantee among the online courses
approved in your area. Call us if you require more information.
14. How, when, and where do I pay?
You may start the course and try it out without paying up front! After taking chapter 3 of the course the system will ask you to submit payment. Or you may pay anytime by clicking on the "Payment" link from the Table Of Contents page.
If you choose to pay now, you will see all of the payment methods available to you. You may pay with a credit or ATM Debit card online or over the phone, personal check by phone, or you may send us a cashier's check or money order by mail. If you decide to mail a payment it is a good idea to mail it early on so that there are no delays in when you can access the remaining chapters of your course.
15. I didn't register for traffic school within 5 business days. Is it too late?
You may see the following statement on your court papers: “If you do not register within 5 business days, you may not be able to complete your traffic school obligation before your required due date”. The court is only urging you to register as soon as possible so that you do not wait until the last minute. We do not notify any courts when a person has registered for our course. The most important date for you to pay attention to is the due date by which your certificate of completion needs to be turned in to your court.
16. I received a ticket a month ago and still haven't received a notice from the court. What should I do?
If you don't know if the court will allow you to take traffic school, please contact your court. They can tell you if and by when you can take traffic school. You are welcome to contact us if you need help finding the court's phone number.
17. Is your site secure?
Yes. All of our credit card links are through secure encrypted banking sites and we will not share any of your registration information with 3rd parties per our privacy policy.
18. My due date for completing traffic school has passed. Can I get an extension?
The answer depends on your court. Each traffic court has it's own policy for granting extensions. Contact the traffic clerk of your court to inquire about their policies regarding due dates. Some courts will grant you an extension over the phone, some require you to write a letter requesting an extension, some require you to appear in court to ask the judge, and some simply refuse altogether. That is why it is best to try to complete traffic school allowing for enough time to turn in your certificate of completion on or before your due date.
19. What if I need more time to complete my traffic school requirement?
If you need extra time to complete traffic school beyond the time given to you by the court, contact your court to inquire about getting an extension. Not all courts will grant extensions.
If you are granted an extension, please update this information by clicking on Modify Registration from the Table of Contents page when you are logged on. For assistance call (800) 260-2295.
20. My due date is tomorrow or within 2-3 business days of today! Will I have enough time to finish?
Your certificate of completion is mailed directly to the court (you will be notified of this during registration). Many courts have grace periods and/or extensions that can be given to students who are unable to complete the course before their court due date. To get an extension, please contact your court. If they do not grant you an extension or a grace period, we also have Express mailing options available.
Please note that it is up to you to make sure you finish in time to turn in your certificate. Regardless of whether your due date has past, you will still be able to continue with your course--we will not cancel your registration until several months after the due date you have given us.
21. The credit card payment option doesn't seem to be working properly.
If you are having any trouble with submitting a credit card payment, please contact us at (800) 260-2295. The problem is usually either that the payment processors are extremely busy or that you have entered an incorrect expiration date.
22. There is an error message, what should I do?
If you are getting an error message, please try logging out and then back on. Your progress will NOT be lost. You may however, need to take the final exam over if the error occurs before it was graded. If the problem persists, please make note of the specific error message and where it occurs, and contact our Customer Support at (800) 260-2295.
23. When will the court receive my certificate?
For the following California counties, CCS (Coordinated Court Services) will process and mail out your certificate of completion the following business day: Butte, Mariposa, Napa, Riverside, Santa Cruz, Stanislaus, Lassen, Tuolmne. Standard mail will take 2 to 5 days depending on the destination.
24. What if my court is not listed?
If your court is not on the list, please make sure that you are looking at the right court name and its corresponding address. Many courts will go by the name of the street they are located on and/or the city they are located in.
25. What is your mailing address?
Please send all payments and correspondence to our Main Office at:
Affordable Home Study
5021 Verdugo Way, Suite 105-346
Camarillo, CA 93012
Be sure to include your Case Number and Drivers License Number so that we can assist you more efficiently.
26. When can I start the course?
You may register online for our internet traffic school program anytime, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, no need to call us. To begin the course, go to our home page and simply click on Begin Course. If you have any questions, please call (800) 984-7233.
27. If my Court requires Identification Verification as a prerequisite to completing the final exam, are there any additional charges associated with this process?
Possible additional charges depend on what option you choose to verify your Student Identity. We offer three options; online verification, test center or Notary Public to complete this process. The easiest and the recommended option is the online verification. The fee for this is only $9.00. If online verification is not successfully accomplished, you will be given a second option, to attend a test center at no additional charge. A link is accessible online showing available test centers nationwide. There is sure to be a location near you. Lastly, Notary Public prices vary depending on which Notary you choose, however, State law limits a Notary's maximum charge to be no more than $10.00. Conversely, some students have informed us that they have received this service at absolutely no charge by going to their local bank! If you have any additional questions on this subject, please contact our customer service department at (800) 260-2295.
